5 Ways To Play Your Part On Charity Tuesday
#CharityTuesday is circulating the Internet and you may be wondering how you can make a difference?
It’s never a bad time to carry out a good deed but Charity Tuesday provides encouragement for us all. It’s great to have a little push and dedicate a day to worthy causes but how can we play our part? Regardless of whether you have spare change or not there are many ways to do your bit and they don’t all involve your contributing money.
Giving Spare Change
Firstly, for those that do want to donate cash here is an option to make a change (don't worry we list costless ways too). This is one of the obvious yet effective ways to make a difference; if you have spare change then you may want to donate it on the way out of a supermarket. You may even pass a homeless person on the street and give them some of those coins leftover from your shop, although homeless organisations encourage you to use the change to buy something such as a hot drink, fruit or a sandwich if possible. That way you know exactly where your money has been spent and how appreciated it has been. Donating £1.50 after your weekly shop would equate to £68 over a year, so every little donation most certainly helps.
Shopping At Charity Shops
If you are looking for clothing, kitchen utensils, ornaments or other items, be sure to browse your local charity shop first. Many of these stores have a hard time keeping the electricity on, so it’s vital that way help these kind-hearted workers make a positive impact. Whatever it is you need, always take a look around the charity shop first.
Promotional Codes
You’re probably wondering how promotional codes could help you make a contribution to charity. Well- for anybody who has visited My Favourite Voucher Codes before, they will know exactly how important charity is to our team. This is a way where the user could save money and help charity simultaneously by using our Tesco discount codes, New Look promo codes or Amazon promotional codes. You don’t have to sign-up, leave your e-mail, details or anything else, you simply just click onto the code you want and that’s it. How can promo codes donate to charity? We donate a huge 20% of our profits to a good cause each and every month and even allow customers to vote for a charity of their choice in the monthly poll. We can proudly announce that we are very close to reaching £50,000 raised for different charities.
Volunteering
Another option that involves no money- all it takes is the kindness of your heart and some of your time. Everyone can agree that it will be time well-spent too. In another post we mentioned how Pokémon GO could incorporate dog walking for animal shelters. If you don’t know where to start, simply type ‘volunteer for charities’ into Google. You’ll discover pages dedicated to how you can help- Red Cross suggest a number of ways. They reveal their voluntary options at their charity shops, ways to fundraise and much more.
Awareness
Another cost-free option for everyone to join on Charity Tuesday. Charity organisations love nothing more than individuals who raise awareness for what they are doing, it helps make a change and brings donations their way. So if you can’t afford to contribute, there’s still a lot you can do. Share vital information about a charity on your social network outlet or just get talking to people about numerous causes.
In this day and age numerous charities struggle to stay afloat and every contribution or effort to help makes a huge impact. We have already seen the kindness of many customers that help us make a change and even vote in each monthly poll. If you are looking to do your bit this Charity Tuesday, why not carry out one of above methods. Most of them will cost you nothing and some even save you money.
