What is the Best Online Flower Delivery Service?
Mother’s Day in the UK is on Sunday 14th March, so it’s right around the corner. Unfortunately, many of us won’t be able to spend time with our mothers, daughters, grannies and aunties this year because of current lockdown restrictions. However, you can still show a special partner, family member or friend just how much they mean to you on Mothering Sunday by sending flowers online to them. So, what are the best flower delivery websites? There are plenty out there, but we’ve picked out five of our favourites to give you a closer look at what they offer.
Interflora
One of the highest quality florists out there, Interflora currently has a great range of Mother’s Day flowers, plants, gifts and messages available. Their Mother’s Day bouquets and boxes range from £35 all the way up to £200, with all of them arranged by a local florist so that every order placed is completely unique. It’s worth noting however that you can save on a great number of products when you use Interflora voucher codes. A lot of items are available for next day or even same day delivery, with prices costing £7 for an 8pm to 6pm delivery slot and £11 for an AM one. To see what delivery dates are available for you, just type the destination postcode into the box on any product page, and it’ll give you all the available dates.
If you’re someone who wants to save on delivery fees all year round, then you can sign up to one of their delivery passes, giving you greater value for money on regular purchases. Their gold pass, which costs £12 and is valid for a year, gives you standard next day delivery for free whilst the platinum pass, which is £22, means you won’t have to pay for any delivery service, including the same day one. The reviews for the site are glowing too, with the average score currently at 4.5 stars out of 5 on Trustpilot. One review said they were “delighted with the bouquet delivered. They were beautifully arranged and delivered within a few hours of ordering”.
eFlorist
If you’re looking for an inexpensive bouquet then you may want to check out our eFlorist voucher codes. With prices ranging from £16 up to £45, there are a great number of value for money flower arrangements available on the site. And just like Interflora, eFlorist also offers same day flower delivery as well as next day flowers. The service charge for a delivery is a bit cheaper here too, with same day delivery costing £7.99 whilst next day is £5.99. Whilst eFlorist doesn’t offer a service that will make your bunch unique, you can buy from a range of preset bouquets, which is helpful if you know the particular tastes of the person you’re buying for. And with some of the items available, eFlorist will include a free box of chocolates, which is great if you’re looking to have Mother’s Day flowers and chocolates delivered.
eFlorist is where you’re more likely to find discounts and savings on flowers, with a selection of the current offerings - including some Mother’s Day bouquets - available for a reduced price. And that’s not all. If you sign up to their newsletter you could save 10% off your next order, and also save 15% through a student discount from StudentBeans. So if you’re a uni student that’s going to be away from home for Mothering Sunday, this is an ideal site to use as you’ll still get super quick delivery speeds on your order at great value prices. Reviews for eFlorist are also positive, averaging at just under 4 stars on Trustpilot.
Bunches
If you’re looking for a bright and colourful bunch of flowers, then you might want to check out Bunches. Featuring a range of Mother’s Day flowers and plants, their offerings feature a mixture of bouquets and letterbox flowers with prices ranging from £21 up to £49. Bouquets that arrive fully arranged in the box are the more expensive items, whilst the letterbox flower options come as buds and will have to be arranged themselves. They’re a cheaper option and they last almost double the time (14 days compared to the 7 for bouquets), but they don’t have that same wow factor that a fully formed bouquet would. If you want to arrange the flowers yourself and you live with the recipient, then the letterbox boxes are still a good option.
When it comes to delivery, they offer generous prices too, and with our Bunches voucher codes you can reduce the price even further. Free standard delivery is available on all products, unless otherwise stated, whilst 24 hour tracked is £1.99 and guaranteed chosen day delivery is £5.99. For an extra £2 you can ensure the guaranteed delivery is with the recipient before 1pm. However, unlike other flower delivery services, same day delivery isn’t available as an option. If you’re a regular flower buyer then Bunches may offer better value for money through their Posy Points loyalty scheme. For every £1 you spend you earn 5 Posy Points, with every point being worth 1p. Points can then be spent on your next order, meaning you can save. Bunches are also really reliable too, with their Trustpilot score averaging at 4.6 stars.
Bloom & Wild
When shopping with our Bloom & Wild discount vouchers there are two main options to choose from for Mother’s Day. The first is hand-tied bouquets, whilst the other is letterbox flowers. In a similar way to Bunches, the letterbox flowers are broadly cheaper, but some bouquets are less expensive than the most expensive letterbox options. Prices range from £23 to £58 for Mother’s Day flowers. Whilst there are a number of colourful options to choose from, Bloom & Wild predominantly features classic styles and pastel colours.
On their site they have an ‘Available Soonest’ section where you can choose from a great number of bunches that are available for next day delivery. Unlike Interflora and eFlorist, there isn’t a same day delivery option available. There are two main postage options to choose from, including flower delivery with free delivery. The free tracked service (which is 90% likely to arrive on time, but can be 2 days late), or the £5 premium DPD service (£6 on Sundays) which is guaranteed to arrive by Mother’s Day. Again, reviews for Bloom & Wild are high on sites like Trustpilot which features a glowing 4.8 star average.
Prestige Flowers
You can guess by the name that Prestige Flowers is all about the quality, however they’re also about great value prices too, with the regular pricing and discounts on this site making it one of the cheapest on the list. Prices start from just £19.99, and there are plenty of other great reductions currently available on the site to help you make the most of your money. And when you use Prestige Flowers voucher codes, you could find yourself saving even more.
There are Mother’s Day flowers, plants, gifts and even combos available where you can add a box of chocolates and/or a bottle of sparkling wine to your order. And with some orders, a chocolate box comes free with the order anyway. Most of their range is only available for next day delivery at the earliest, but some florist designed bouquets can be delivered on the same day they were ordered. Again, like the other retailers, Prestige Flowers are dependable, with then currently having a 4.6 star rating on reviews.io. A previous buyer has said “the flowers were amazing and the delivery was precise and on time”.
The Verdict: Which is Best?
All the florists mentioned offer a high class service, as is shown from their online reviews. Deciding which one is best for you depends on what you’re looking to get. Most of the flower delivery services have similar price ranges and delivery options, so it may just come down to personal taste. Others have specific discounts like loyalty schemes and student discounts that you may be able to make good use of, and a few of the online florists offer same day delivery. If you make sure to buy in advance though, many offer a chosen day delivery service. One way of working out which is best for you is to see which flower delivery discounts codes or Mother's Day offers are currently available on this site before making your decision.
