Once the gossip began fans came out in force and gathered over 40,000 signatures for a petition asking for the game to be made.
It’s Not Happening?
The latest reports from Telegraph signify that it was just a hopeful rumour with little substance. Some even believe that interviews from Niantic were faked in an attempt to give Harry Potter fans false-hope. The false interview which circulated revealed that Niantic were going through procedures to secure the app and gain rights for it. It left hopeful Harry Potter fans punching the air in delight but it has only been recently revealed that it may not have any truth to it whatsoever.
What The App Could Have Featured?
If the aim of the game on Pokémon GO is to catch them all and visit Pokéstops and gyms, what would Harry Potter GO have looked like? The idea got the creative juices of fans going as they started to think about the possibilities. There could have been schools of witchcraft and a quest system.
