The Littlest Lives Rescue is a rabbit rescue based in North Bristol, who care for rabbits and other small animals in need of a home. They take in animals from all situations, whether their owner is simply unable to look after them anymore or they have been neglected or dumped have no place to go. Their team work hard to offer the best care for these little animals, advise owners on small animal care and finding them their forever homes.
What Does the Littles Lives Rescue Do?
The Littlest Lives Rescue (formerly known as the Littlest Rescue) rescue and take in rabbits in need of a suitable home. Their volunteers provide excellent care for the rabbits at the rescue, and they help to match up rabbits to homes that they can thrive in, providing advice for owners and carrying out all of the vet checks prior to rehoming to ensure all of their bunnies are in good health and highlighting any ailments they might have. They also neuter and vaccinate all of the rabbits in their care.
Companions and Bonding Services: It is not just about ensuring that their rabbits are physically healthy however, as they also make sure that their rabbits are rehomed with companions if they arrived with or have bonded with any, or that they are rehomed in a home with companions that they can meet. They even offer a bonding service so that if you have a rabbit or rabbits already, their team can manage the meetings between your bunnies and your new adopted rabbit and help them bond as companions. It can be a stressful and difficult process, which is why Littlest Lives Rescue offers this excellent service to ensure both bunnies and humans have as stress free a time as possible.
Guinea Pigs: Although Littlest Lives Rescue only provide adoption services for rabbits, they have a sister rescue for guinea pigs. Little Wheekers is a small guinea pig rescue in Bristol, which offer guinea pigs up for adoption the chance to find their dream home. It is run entirely by volunteers who care for the pigs in their own homes and gardens. You can find out more about this guinea pig rescue by visiting their Little Wheekers page.
Grooming Days: They also provide a grooming service to help your rabbit's coat stay well groomed and their nails stay clipped. This is run by volunteers on special ‘grooming days’, where all proceeds go towards the care of the rabbits in the rescue.
Where Is the Littlest Lives Rescue?
The centre is based in Speedwell, North Bristol however they also have foster homes all over Bristol and surrounding areas. They are always in need of new foster homes for their rabbits, as their main rescue centre is often inundated with rabbits in need. If you are able to become a rabbit fosterer, you can visit their Fostering page online.
How Can I Support the Littlest Lives Rescue?
Looking after rabbits can be very costly, especially when running a rescue with lots of bunnies in need of care, veterinary treatment, food, bedding and more. The rescue is entirely self-funded and their dedicated volunteers work hard to help care for the rescues residents daily.
If you are able to give a donation to help pay for the cost of veterinary treatment, food, bedding and general rabbit care then that would go a long way in helping them continue their incredible work. They are also always on the lookout for new volunteers and fosterers to help care for rabbits in need.
They also have Amazon Wish Lists accessible via the Donation link above, where you can purchase much needed food and supplies and send it straight to them. If you want to buy some cute bunny gifts whilst supporting a fantastic rabbit rescue, you can also visit their online Shop and pick up a gift whilst giving to a good cause.
They are also currently looking to expand their rescue centre, as it is currently in their owners back garden! If you are able to give any amount to their JustGiving page then this would help them have space to rescue more rabbits and provide much needed care to more bunnies in need.
Last, but certainly not least, don’t forget to cast your vote for Littlest Lives Rescue in our September charity poll.
