The Winner of September's Charity Poll: Royal Mencap Society!

This fantastic organisation aims to improve the lives of those with learning disabilities by providing them with support however they need it. This could be providing information and guidance on employment or simply helping an individual to join in with an activity they enjoy.

They provide a huge range of services from housing support to social care and respite services. Their dedicated helpline aims to provide support and information not only to those living with learning disabilities, but also to their families and carers. We are pleased to support this great charity and will be announcing in due course the amount we have raised for them.

We are also pleased to confirm that July's nominated charity Breast Cancer Care will receive a donation of £277.95 and this money will be sent in due course.

Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)

They are known to 'save lives at sea,' but the RNLI provides so much more than just a rescue service. In addition to lifeboat crews providing a 24 hour rescue services, their lifeguards look after us on the country's beaches, and they also provide a Flood Rescue Team to help anyone affected by flooding. They also work to educate and inform on sea and coastal safety. Find out more about them here.

The Royal British Legion

Most commonly known for the Poppy Appeal every year, the Royal British Legion works all year round to provide support for those currently serving in Armed Services, veterans, and their families. In addition, they work to ensure bereaved families are supported, and those who have lost their lives in conflict are remembered. To find out more, please click here.

CLIC Sargent

As the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent helps young people with cancer in a variety of ways. This ranges from providing information and financial support to children and their families, to providing Homes from Home near to hospitals so that families can stay together during treatment.
