Robot Wars Returns To Our Screens This Sunday
The much-anticipated return of the Nation’s favourite programme will air this Sunday. The legendary show is set to screen this Sunday after 12 years since we last had the pleasure of its presence. Robot Wars has been sorely missed for some time and fans have been reminiscing on classic battles from Sir Killalot and company. The BBC protégé will continue its run with the same broadcaster as it schedules to air on BBC Two, their Twitter has also revealed that many favourite house robots will return too.
We can confirm that house robots Sir Killalot, Matilda, Shunt and Dead Metal are returning and are deadlier than ever. #RobotWars

What’s New in Robot Wars?
Before Robot Wars biggest fans become frantic- a lot remains the same! Most of the principles continue as they were and the technological genius is the focus. Robots go to war and amateurs will still take on the professionals who nurture their house robots.
With that said, there will obviously be some improvements too. There’s now a new purpose built arena in Glasgow that features a bullet-proof arena, state of the art cameras and more. A bullet-proof venue? Yes, that’s right with the robots advancing and developing they will be a much evolved version of the old robots we witnessed in 2002. This means that shrapnel and other solid objects that deflect during impact could harm those in the crowd. That’s why all the appropriate protection is put in place for those that wish to spectate and enjoy the changes of such hi-tech robots.
Who will be presenting the show this time round? The show was already lucky enough to pull in the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and Craig Charles but the series will be in the hands of Dara O’Briain and Angela Scanlon. Both presenters have already expressed their intent to put a different spin on the dynamics of how the show was previously presented but despite that we can expect much of the same.
Technology Enthusiasts Unite
With many of the famous house robots undergoing a slight makeover and some technological developments, geeks and casual viewers alike will enjoy the scientific changes. With smaller, more powerful lithium batteries we are expected to watch some brutal battles between the nominated robots. The battlefield will be graced by innovative geniuses and their projects.
