This November, you can help The Principle Trust Children’s Charity to win a donation by voting in the My Favourite Voucher Codes poll! This incredible charity offers respite breaks to disadvantaged, disabled and underprivileged children, giving them and their families the opportunity to relax and make some incredible memories. You can find out more about The Principle Trust below, and help them win 20% of their profits this month by voting for them in the poll.
About The Principle Trust Children’s Charity
The Principle Trust Children's Charity is a dedicated Yorkshire-based charity that provides free week-long respite breaks to children who are disadvantaged, underprivileged, or disabled. Their mission is to improve the lives of children and their families who face significant challenges, whether due to poverty, trauma, abuse, or disabilities. By offering these much-needed holidays, they aim to enhance mental health and well-being, strengthen family relationships, and provide relief from the daily struggles many of these families endure.
The need for their work has never been greater. Child poverty in Yorkshire is at its highest level in over 20 years, with 31% of the region's children—around 400,000—living in poverty. The impact of poverty is even more severe for families with disabled children, who often face additional hardships. At The Principle Trust, they believe every child deserves a fair, inclusive, and happy life, regardless of their circumstances.
They partner with local authorities, social services, and schools to reach families most in need, offering them a chance to escape their troubles and create lasting memories. With six holiday homes, they provide around 232 families each year with these essential breaks. By supporting their charity, you're helping them continue this vital work, ensuring that Yorkshire's most vulnerable children have the opportunity to experience joy and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Where Are The Principle Trust Respite Homes?
They currently have six holiday homes, four situated in Marton Mere Holiday Village in Blackpool and two in White Cross Bay in the Lake District. They provide two very different but equally exciting types of family respite holidays, with Marton Mere offering adventure golf, live music and a seaside break, and White Cross Bay providing a relaxing and picturesque adventure on the banks of Lake Windermere.
There is something for everyone at their respite homes, from relaxing spas to exciting kids’ activities, and of course their holiday homes are designed with complete accessibility in mind to meet the needs of disabled guests.
How Will The Donation Help?
Their 100% donation policy means every penny raised from events will be used to support Yorkshire's children in need. Their target for 2024 is to buy their seventh respite holiday home on the East coast of Yorkshire. This will enable them to help more of Yorkshire’s most vulnerable children to escape their troubles and make memories that last.
