Vote for The Air Ambulance Service to Support Them in Attending The Most Life Threatening Scenarios
Who Are The Air Ambulance Service?
The Air Ambulance Service was established in 2003 and operates a number of services including the Children’s Air ambulance as well as local air ambulance services for Rutland, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. Their dedicated services are operating every day to save lives in the most crucial and life threatening scenarios, and they are working tirelessly to be where needed within minutes assisted by the latest lifesaving equipment.
The critical care team of the Air Ambulance Service are regularly providing emergency care at sports events, collisions, medical emergencies as well as industrial accidents where every second matters. In the 16+ years they have been operating, they have attended over 40,000 missions, saving thousands of lives in scenarios where the fastest service was needed for the best chances of survival. They have flown into scenarios where there was simply no chance of an ambulance arriving in time, and with the support of Critical Care cars, they have managed to keep individuals alive and bring them to a safe and stable state.
Each rescue mission comes with a cost of £1,700, and unfortunately the charity receives no funding from the National Lottery or the Government making it incredibly difficult to stay afloat and forcing The Air Ambulance Service to rely on donations entirely. They are extremely grateful for all the volunteers, and supporters of the charity, as without them, this service would not be available.
How can You Help Today?
You can get involved with the charity in multiple ways and they are beyond grateful every time you take part in an event or challenge to raise funds, and if you have got a couple of hours spare per month, you can even be the heartbeat of the charity by volunteering in one of their shops, or as part of the fundraising team. And don’t forget, now children can get involved too by joining their #thecrew where they will be learning about saving lives, medicine, fundraising as well as helicopters and the charity in general.
Please cast a vote for The Air Ambulance Today and help them save lives in the most critical situations.
