Four Paws Charity Bio

Founded in 1988, Four Paws has become an international animal charity campaigning against all forms of animal cruelty. Believing that every animal has the right to be treated with respect and dignity, Four Paw’s vision is a world free of animal suffering. Donations support their many projects, including a bear orphanage in Romania, a stray dog programme in Eastern Europe, and a wildlife reserve in South Africa. Four Paws also campaign against all forms of animal testing. It is unthinkable that so many animals in the world suffer as a result of human action, and Four Paws exists to better represent the welfare and respect that so many wild species deserve.  Four Paws’ mission statement states that they have a vision of a world where humanity treats animals with respect, care, and understanding – and that some of the horrendous ways in which various species are kept and treated should be eradicated for good.  It is thanks to organisations such as Four Paws that so many atrocities put before animals have been highlighted and wiped out for good.

Four Paws campaigns for legal and consumer changes – highlighting the plight of animals such as bears being used for circus entertainment and big cats being kept in appalling conditions – Four Paws have been instrumental in setting up a number of sanctuaries across Europe and in South Africa.  Four Paws stands for promoting the plight of thousands of animals that face cruelty and unfair treatment at the hands of people.  As well as caring for stray animals that would otherwise face the threat of disease and malnourishment.  Four Paws stands up for animals – they cannot stand up for themselves.
