The Albert Kennedy Trust set their sights on helping young lesbian, gay and bisexual individuals live in accepting, supportive and caring homes. As a minority going through an integral part of their life, it is important that there is support for these youngsters. This charity ensures that they provide help for the youth by offering lodging, fostering and housing schemes for gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans teenagers or youngsters. Although this is probably some of the most important parts of the charity, they recognise that this doesn’t necessarily prevent these problem moving forward and that’s why they raise awareness and improve attitudes towards this community. Help provide for this community and those in need as The Albert Kennedy Trust do everything in their power to help those who may have lost their family or simply need someone to talk to during an emotionally exhausting period of their life.  The Albert Kennedy Trust target those aged between 16 and 25 years old and help them improve their lives whilst assisting them to transition to independent lives. So what are The Albert Kennedy Trust committed to? They channel their energies into making the world a better place and eliminating some of the perceptions some people make. How does this trust do this? They deliver flexible and responsive services that help the needs of LGBT people, they engage, support and nurture LGBT young people, they provide safe environments that are respectful of difference and diversity and also offer good, open and honest communication. Many of the young people they aim to support shy away from mainstream help and support lines for fear of homophobia or transphobia, so help them have a domain to share their concerns by donating or raising awareness.
