Vote for brap This June: Helping Turn Equality Into Reality
As the Charities Coordinator here at My Favourite Voucher Codes, one of the most important parts of my job is choosing four charities every month to take part in our charity poll. We donate 20% of our monthly profits to charity every month, and our charity poll is how we do it!
Each month, the public gets to vote (for free!) for the charity that they want to see win a donation. The charity that gets the most public votes in our poll, then gets the donation. Simple, easy and a great way to support a variety of charities throughout the year.
As part of my role, I seek out charities to take part in our polls, and I always try to pick organisations that are dedicated to making a real difference.
This June 2026, one of the charities taking part is brap. I’m really pleased to have them involved this month and I’m sure you will be too once you hear about their incredible work.
This June, you can support brap completely free by voting for them in our monthly charity poll. If they receive the most votes, they’ll receive 20% of our profits for June, helping them continue their incredible work supporting communities across the UK.

Who is brap?
brap is a UK charity focused on equality, human rights, and inclusion. Their vision is simple but powerful: creating a society that is more equitable and confident in its diversity.
What I really like about them is that they don’t approach equality as a box-ticking exercise. They actually work directly with people and organisations to understand what inequality looks like in real life and then help create proper solutions. They support NHS trusts, universities, care homes, housing associations, councils, and community organisations. At the same time, they also work closely with individuals and groups who often feel unheard or excluded.
Their mission is to help people, communities, and organisations turn equality into reality. And that sounds simple written down like that, but it’s a huge thing to try and achieve. A lot of charities focus on one issue, but brap works across so many areas where inequality can affect people’s lives; education, healthcare, housing, employment, social mobility, discrimination, mental health, and access to services.
They’ve built their whole approach around listening first, learning from communities, and then helping systems improve. I think that’s probably why their work has such a lasting impact.
How brap Creates Change
One thing that stood out to me when researching brap was how practical their approach is. They don’t just publish reports and disappear. They actively work alongside communities and organisations to create long-term improvements.
Their work is built around three main stages:
Step One: Listening to Communities
brap starts by listening.
They work directly with communities and organisations to understand how inequality affects people on the ground. This includes projects supporting young people, older adults, ethnic minority communities, women’s health awareness, and people struggling to access opportunities or services.
Some of their past and ongoing projects include:
- Lifeline – helping young people access business support and opportunities.
- Heart 2 Heart – improving health awareness among Black and minority ethnic women.
- Armchair Advocates – supporting older people to campaign for better services.
I actually think this part of their work is really important because too many decisions get made without actually speaking to the people affected by them.
brap spends time understanding the barriers communities face first-hand. That could be discrimination, lack of representation, unfair treatment, or systems that unintentionally exclude people.
And once they understand the problems properly, they move onto creating solutions.
Helping Organisations Improve
The second stage of brap’s work focuses on helping organisations improve how they approach equality and inclusion.
This can include:
- Equality and inclusion training
- Organisational development support
- Human rights guidance
- Service design advice
- Conflict resolution support
- Community engagement strategies
I think people sometimes underestimate how much influence organisations have on everyday life. Schools, hospitals, councils, housing providers — these places shape people’s experiences massively. brap helps organisations build fairer cultures internally while also improving the services they provide to the public. For example, they help organisations better understand discrimination, improve communication with diverse communities, and create environments where people feel respected and heard. That kind of work can have a ripple effect that reaches thousands of people.
Campaigning for Wider Change
The final stage of brap’s work is spreading what they’ve learned to decision-makers across the country.
They campaign, lobby, deliver seminars, write consultation responses, and work with policymakers to encourage better equality practices nationally. I actually really admire this because they aren’t just fixing problems in one area and moving on. They’re trying to change systems so fewer people experience inequality in the first place.
That’s the bit that can create lasting change.
How You Can Support brap
The easiest way to support brap this month is by voting for them in our charity poll.
And the best part is, it’s completely free.
- You don’t need to donate money.
- You don’t need to create an account.
- You don’t even need to enter your email address.
It genuinely only takes a few seconds.
You can also support them by:

- Supporting organisations that create positive social change
Sometimes simply helping raise awareness can go a long way.
Compare Insurance, Save and Raise Money for brap
One of the exciting new ways of raising money for charity is via the Insurance comparison service we have with Quotezone.
brap’s supporters can compare insurance via our Insurance Comparison Tool page, get a free quote and enjoy a super saving on their car, bike, van, travel, breakdown or pet insurance.
Every qualifying policy taken out through the page generates a fixed donation for brap, including:
- £20 for car, home, van and motorbike insurance policies
- £10 for pet insurance
- £8 for bicycle insurance
- £5 for travel or breakdown cover
I genuinely love this initiative because it gives people a practical way to support an amazing charity through something they may already need anyway, while potentially saving money on their insurance at the same time.
