The poll is open until 31 October 2026, and voting is free. No purchase or sign-up is required.
What Does Mental Health UK Do?
Mental Health UK is a charity working towards a UK where good mental health is prioritised. Its work focuses on some of the situations that can have a significant impact on mental health, including pressures at home, school, and work.
The charity combines practical information and advice with programmes and services designed to help people build resilience, manage challenges and access appropriate support.
Mental Health UK is also part of a UK-wide alliance alongside four national charities, bringing together local knowledge from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland with a wider UK reach. Its work is centred on supporting people at home, in education and in the workplace.
This approach recognises that mental health is influenced by more than individual circumstances. Financial pressure, employment, education, relationships and major life changes can all affect how someone feels and copes.
What Services and Programmes Does Mental Health UK Provide?
Mental Health UK provides a range of information, resources, programmes and services covering different areas of mental health and wellbeing across all ages.
Mental Health & Money Advice Money worries and mental health are closely connected. Mental Health & Money Advice provides free, practical information and advice for people experiencing both financial difficulties and mental health challenges.
The service helps people understand their financial situation and find practical ways to manage issues such as debt, benefits and budgeting. In 2024–25, more than one million people accessed support, contributing to £11 million in financial outcomes for clients.
Supporting young people Mental Health UK works with young people aged 14–18 through programmes including Bloom, Your Resilience and Me & Money.
Bloom is delivered in schools and colleges and helps young people develop tools and knowledge to support their mental health through life’s transitions. Your Resilience focuses on developing practical coping skills and resilience, while Me & Money explores the relationship between money and mental health.
The charity’s young people’s programmes have reached more than 500,000 young people, while more than 5,000 teachers have been trained through Bloom.
Into Work
Mental Health UK’s Into Work service provides holistic employment support for adults living with mental health conditions.
The service helps people overcome barriers to employment, develop confidence and skills, and work towards sustainable employment. It currently operates in Harrow, Gravesend and Wrexham, alongside an online Into Work resource hub offering practical guidance for people navigating their journey into employment.
Workplace Mental Health
Mental Health UK also works with employers to create mentally healthier workplaces. Its workplace mental health and training offer provides organisations with training, guidance and practical resources designed to improve understanding of mental health and help reduce workplace pressures such as burnout.
Alongside its programmes, Mental Health UK provides a wide range of online information covering topics including stress, burnout, sleep, grief and bereavement, menopause, men's mental health, young people's mental health and the relationship between money and mental health.
Who Does Mental Health UK Help?
Mental Health UK supports people at different stages of life, particularly where mental health intersects with everyday life, including money, education, work and employment.
Its work also recognises that people may need different types of support at different times. Some people may be looking for practical information to help them understand what they are experiencing, while others may benefit from a structured programme or specialist advice.
The charity's current strategy aims to build a UK where mental health is supported at every stage of life and where people can access support that fits their circumstances.
How Will the Donation Help Mental Health UK?
Winning the My Favourite Voucher Codes charity poll would provide Mental Health UK with additional funding to support its work.
Donations to Mental Health UK help fund practical information and resources, support groups, Mental Health & Money Advice and programmes that help people manage their mental health. For example, the charity states that £10 could allow 25 people to access the Mental Health & Money Advice website, while £50 could enable five young people to take part in an eight-week programme.
A donation from the poll could therefore contribute to the wider work of helping people access information, develop resilience and find support when they need it.
