DEBRA is a UK charity for people affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a genetic condition that result the upper layers of the skin not properly bonding and, in some cases, internal membranes and organs. As the skin is so fragile blisters and sores are generated as a result of the slightest touch. As a result the children with this condition are often known as the ‘Butterfly Children’. EB can be severely life-limiting and in some cases fatal. An estimated 500,000 people suffer with EB worldwide and are helped by DEBRA. DEBRA help to fund and train specialist EB nurses who focus on delivery high quality care to suffers of EB. DEBRA also provide support for the families and people EB sufferers depend upon. However DEBRA's main focus is on research for finding effective treatments and a Cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). DEBRA is the national charity dedicated to helping you and your loved ones. All DEBRA donations are welcomed and very much appreciated with £15 being able to buy a DEBRA feeder system for babies that have blistered mouths and cannot eat.
