How Your Support can Help Home-Start Glasgow South

Home-Start Glasgow South is a befriending and support charity. Based in the south of Glasgow, they supported 253 vulnerable families and 623 children last year. They want to help even more families in the South Glasgow area this year. Their challenge is to ensure their service is sustainable, and that they can work with more families in need for as long as possible. They want to be able to help them support even more families would love your support in our February charity poll.

Home-Start Glasgow South provides tailor-made, confidential, non-judgmental support to vulnerable families. To be eligible families should have at least one child under eight, and live in the South of Glasgow. They work with families struggling with the challenges of being a parent and the impact of family life.

They want to ensure children are supported in a safe and happy environment, helping them to grow and develop. They will use the donation to pay the costs for training a volunteer, and each of their volunteers help support a family for at least a year.
