Orchid - Fighting Male Cancer
Orchid is a charity which seeks to help raise awareness and fund research into male-specific cancers. Male-specific cancers include; prostate, testicular and penile cancers, and over 50,000 men a year in the UK are diagnosed with one of these cancers each year. The number of men affected is increasing, however through research, education and awareness, men are more likely to see the early warning signs and seek treatment earlier, which makes a positive outcome much more likely. Orchid want to ensure that men have the knowledge regarding male-specific cancers, and that research is being done to help treatment options. They fund an outstanding research programme, as well as continually raising awareness and running numerous education campaigns and offering a variety of services to those affected by these illnesses.
