'Give a Dog a Bone... and an animal a home' is a young, unique and award winning charity, supporting the over 60s to afford a rescue pet companion.Tackling loneliness for the individual and homelessness for the animal.
Helping with rehoming fees, pet food, insurance and occasional vet bills, the charity provides peace of mind to those who would love a pet, but are worried about the costs involved, so long as it's a rescue animal. In a few short years, the charity has helped hundreds of animals and their human companions in many different ways.
As the charity enters its fifth year, it will open the doors to a small community space, offering social and canine companionship to retired people, looking for an anchor in their week. A wide range of activities will be on offer, all of which will be free.
