Kids Inspire is a charity in Essex which helps children and young people to turn their lives around and gives them back their future. The charity helps young people and children who have educational or social difficulties due to past traumas and emerging mental health issues. Its primary objective is to provide a lifeline to young people who are the most vulnerable in the community. They take an individualistic approach to their work, providing support catered to the persons difficulties and needs.
All of Kids Inspire’s services take a holistic approach involving young people, their parents and families. The charity provides:
- Individual therapy - such as clinically proven counselling, arts psychotherapy, complementary therapies and talking therapies
- Coaching – to support and improve emotional health and wellbeing
- Mentoring – support and guidance on a one to one basis – provided by trained volunteers
- Group work – such as Kids Who Lunch Club during the school holidays for children who are entitled to free school meals, as well as drama therapy and filmmaking projects
