What Your Support Means to Change Please
Change Please is a national charity which gives the homeless community the chance to break free from the cycle of poverty and homelessness. They do this through training them to be Baristas; matching up one of the nations greatest loves (coffee) with one of the biggest issues facing thousands of people in the UK (homelessness). With the average person in London purchasing two cups of coffee a day, and coffee outlets continuing to pop up all over the UK, thousands of Barista jobs are being created every day.
Change Please provide full Barista training to work in their own coffee outlets as well as other major coffee chains, opening up a huge range of job opportunities. They run five coffee carts throughout London and are looking to branch out and offer more throughout the UK. They also have two coffee bars in London which are operated by their Baristas and attend many events throughout the year with their fully kitted coffee vans. All of the Change Please Baristas are paid a full London Living Wage and are given support in other ways.
Alongside the practical support they offer, Change Please also give homeless people help in other areas. They offer help with housing, finances and mental health issues. As well as offering support to those in need, they make some great tasting coffee too. Their award-winning blends are on sale at Sainsbury’s stores throughout the UK.
They rely both on the sales of their coffee blends as well as donations to continue helping homeless people to turn their lives around. Visit the Change Please Website to find out more.
