Support More Women, Girls, Non-Binary People and Families to Cycle by Voting for Women On Wheels this September
Women On Wheels SCIO is a cycling charity based in the heart of Govanhill, Glasgow. Through cycling activities and bike loans, they support women, girls, non-binary people and families to get back on a bike or onto a bike for the very first time. This September you can help Women On Wheels support even more people to get on bikes by voting for them in My Favourite Voucher Codes’ monthly charity poll. The winner of the poll gets 20% of My Favourite Voucher Codes profits.

What Does Women On Wheels Do?
Statistics show that men undertake twice as many cycling journeys than women in Scotland. This gap leads to many women missing out on the extensive benefits of cycling including improved physical and mental health, cost-cutting, environmental, sense of community and reduced social isolation to name a few. Women On Wheels was set up to address this gap by tackling women’s barriers to cycling and developing programmes to support their needs. Since launching in 2022, the organisation has grown significantly and now runs three dedicated cycling programmes:
- Womens Programme supporting women and non-binary people
- Teens Programme empowering girls and young women to cycle
- Families Programme helping families to cycle together
Prior to Women on Wheels there was no dedicated service in Glasgow which was specifically aimed at empowering and enabling women to overcome barriers to cycling.
Women On Wheels have supported more than 1000 women, girls, non-binary people and families to cycle. With your support they can help even more people feel the joy of cycling and reap the many benefits that it brings.
