A low initial fare is less attractive if you later have to cancel it. Direct Ferries currently charges a minimum £10 cancellation fee when an eligible booking is cancelled online through My Account. The actual refund depends on the ticket type and the ferry operator's terms.

Cancelling through the messenger or contact form carries a higher minimum fee of £20. Direct Ferries shows the refund amount before completing the cancellation, so check that figure before confirming.

Ferry bookings do not normally have a 14-day cooling-off period
