New boiler installation day can be stressful, but there’s a few things you can do to make sure things run as smoothly as possible.

Clear the Area: Making sure that all areas your engineer will need to access are clear is the main thing you can do to prepare your home. Cover any carpets and remove anything that may get in the way, and make sure the engineer has a clear path to navigate.

Make Arrangements for Pets/Children: Do you have a curious kitty or a mischievous pooch that’s likely to get in the way? Consider making arrangements for someone else to look after your pet for the day, or make sure there’s a quiet area of the house for them to go away from the noise. Likewise, if you have little ones running around, make sure you have plenty to keep them occupied for the day and that they’re not likely to get in the way either, or perhaps get a friend or relative to take care of them for the day.
