What child doesn’t enjoy going to the zoo? And for any children living in a city, it is sometimes their only chance to get up close to some amazing animals and take away an inspiring experience that will live on in their memories. Those lovely folks at London Zoo know this only too well, and we are pleased to announce their up-and-coming Special Children’s Day 2012.

With the return of the spring and the longer days, children and adults alike are ready to get back out to play or just enjoy their garden. However, April can still be a cold and wet month, so it is better to have some things to do indoors, especially at the weekend.

Giddy up... One of horse racing's biggest events, Cheltenham Festival, started today! The core event of the jump racing calendar raced into full speed at 1pm and is being covered live by 5 and the BBC, over the course of the four days.
