Air Ambulances UK is the national organisation championing and supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s 21 air ambulance charities.

Their vision is that together we will ensure the best possible chance of survival and patient outcome for everyone in need of lifesaving pre-hospital care.

What Campaigns are Air Ambulances UK involved in?

During September every year Air Ambulances UK and the air ambulance community celebrate Air Ambulance Week. This year Air Ambulance Week takes place on 8th – 14th September.

Who does Air Ambulances UK help?

Anyone, anywhere in the UK can become a patient at any time. Air ambulance crews respond to the seriously ill and injured patients such as those who have been in road traffic collisions, industrial incidents, injuries at sporting events and stabbings, injuries in the home or workplace as well as medical emergencies such as cardiac arrests or strokes. Air ambulance crews bring the hospital to the patient with specialist equipment and training, meaning they are able to treat patients at the scene of the incident. These pre-hospital interventions mean that air ambulances help to make a lifesaving difference and have a significant impact on the patient outcomes.
