As we’re now coming to the end of October, we thought it was time to introduce you to our three charities for November to help you make your choice…

Mind

The difficulties faced by those who suffer from mental health issues is now thankfully gaining more and more attention in the media. But there is still plenty of work to be done. Mind is one of the country’s leading charitable organisations that aims to not only highlight the plight of those who have mental health issues through a number of campaigns, but also by providing help to those who need it through local support services, information lines and legal advice. You can help contribute to Mind by not only voting for them in our charity poll next month, but also donating via their site and fundraising on their behalf. Bullying UK

Bullying UK is a division of the Family Lives charity, an organisation with over thirty years’ experience offering advice and support to parents and carers on many different issues affecting families today. Bullying UK continues this work through advice and campaigns aimed at not only children and teenagers but also adults. they help people combat and cope with a number of different types of bullying. This November they are organising Anti Bullying Week that takes place from the 16^th to 20^th November and encourages schools, colleges and organisations to raise awareness of bullying. Adapt Premababies

Adapt Prembabies is a smaller charity that helps families with premature or unwell babies in the neonatal units of Leicester General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary. Adapt Prembabies provides access to support workers for parents and families who are going through a difficult and confusing time, not just to answer their questions, but to also be a friendly face too. Adapt Prembabies relies solely on donations from the public. So please give them you consideration when voting in our November charity poll, or you can contribute to their cause by getting involved in one of their fundraising events, such as their Adapt Christmas Sale on 14^th November.
