What does CRASAC do?
Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC) is the only specialist service in Coventry which helps those whose lives have been affected by sexual violence or abuse. This includes adults and children who are impacted either directly or indirectly by sexual violence, which can affect people of any age or gender. They also support victims of, and raises awareness of, online abuse and exploitation.
Statistically one in four girls and one in six boys will experience childhood sexual abuse. One in five women over the age of 16 experience some form of sexual violence.
The charity aims to address the trauma and injustice of sexual abuse. They do this through specialist advocacy, counselling and psychotherapy, training, and prevention services.
CRASAC’s work helps victims and survivors overcome the lasting effects on wellbeing, physical and mental health.
