Show Your Support for Families Affected by Baby Loss This November and Vote for SiMBA in Our Charity Poll
1 in 4 pregnancies will end in miscarriage - in Scotland alone, 4 babies are stillborn every week. SiMBA is there to provide support to anyone who has been affected by the loss of a baby during pregnancy.
What Support Does SiMBA Provide?
SiMBA donate their bespoke Memory Boxes to over 300 hospital units across the UK to allow families to collect precious mementos of the time they spend with their baby. In addition, they also refurbish Family Rooms in hospitals so that families can stay together and say goodbye to their baby in a peaceful and private space.
Their free bereavement study days are offered to health care professionals and students to enhance the level of bereavement care provided, and they offer monthly support groups as well as online support. Monthly support groups are available across Scotland, and online support can be accessed 24 hours a day.
Trees of Tranquillity
SiMBA’s handcrafted Trees of Tranquillity are beautiful bespoke sculptures located in 8 locations across Scotland and the North of England. They grow as leaves are added by parents so they can honour their baby’s memory. In addition, SiMBA holds annual awareness events which bring families together.
SiMBA relies heavily on the generosity of their supporters. This November, they are taking part in our charity poll. You can find out more details on the services they provide by visiting http://www.simbacharity.org.uk/.
