Who Are Emmanuel House Charity?

Emmanuel House Support Centre is a charity supporting the most vulnerable citizens of Nottingham, without judgment or prejudice. They hold space for people so they can tackle isolation, vulnerability and homelessness. They were established in 1976 and they have been supporting homeless and vulnerable adults as an established and respected organisation ever since. They strive to provide diverse and accessible services that meet basic needs and empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Their core beliefs and values aim to empower the communities we work with.  

What Services Do Emmanuel House Offer?

They offer the only open-access support centre for homeless people in Nottingham, where they are able to meet basic needs such as food, clothing, showers, phone-calls, and a medical assessment from their onsite practitioners. 
They also offer support and advice regarding housing and benefits and provide advocacy and support for making and attending appointments. 

Who Does Emmanuel House Support?

This charity is dedicated to supporting homeless persons, or someone at risk of homelessness. They can access support directly from the not for profit organisaition, without needing a referral or a prior needs assessment.
 As a result, they are a first-point of contact and needs assessment for many of the city’s homeless people.

How Can I Volunteer with Emmanuel House?

If you are looking to volunteer for Emmanuel house, there are a few things you can do that will make a significant difference in the charity’s future as those who are in need. Even with a few hours a month, you can make a huge impact. For any of the following roles, you can choose from a variety of shift times, unless there is only one time or day stated.You are welcome to join one of the roles supporting Green activities, the support centre for food provisions team, Support centre assistants, volunteering opportunities in the charity shop and many more.
